Meeting Morro

Morro and Mark

Relaxing With the Star of Judy's New Film

One leg of my birthday excursion took me to Morro Bay where I met the star of Judy’s new work-in-progress, Pelican Dreams. I’ve been hearing about this particular bird for months, and it was a real pleasure to make his acquaintance. The weather was California nice. We hung out in the backyard and compared notes.

Pelicans are among my very favorite birds, so of course I will see Judy’s upcoming film once it is released. No doubt I will love it!

Speaking of birds, how are Big Bird and Parker? You ‘aven’t mentioned them in a while.

Big Bird and Parker are doing fine. They spend a lot of time in their nest box even though Big Bird is not laying. It’s the season for wild winter berries and we bring them plenty. They love those berries.

Do they eat California Pepper tree berries? A few years ago I saw robins and cedar waxwings devouring California Pepper tree berries. I was surprised because I didn’t know anything ate them.
