Where It All Began

During the over-the-top eulogizing for John McCain, it was occasionally pointed out that he was the one who opened the door to a nonentity like Donald Trump by choosing Sarah Palin as his vice presidential candidate. I would like to point out that it was George H. W. Bush who opened that door even earlier by elevating Dan Quayle to national office.

    He managed to avoid scrutiny on Iran Contra which set in action a drug war and the growth of Iran as a future sponsor of terroism. He pardoned 6 to avid a trial that might’ve implicated hiim Look at Nicaragua today and how much came from those years. He did seem like a nice old man, but he was part of the deep state when he led the CIA. I never thought it was a ‘coincidence’ when the hostages were released as Reagan was inaugurated. He’s lionized now because he’s dead.
